About us

Our mission is to help people live with dignity in their own homes.

Objectives and the Trustees

The objectives of the trust are to:

  • provide financial help for adaptations, repairs, home improvements, heating and insulation measures for the most vulnerable of home improvement agency clients

  • provide practical support to home improvement agencies and other organisations that help vulnerable people to live with dignity in their own homes, and

  • conduct research, publish information and organise events that raise awareness of, and seek solutions for, the problems facing vulnerable homeowners and private sector tenants.

Our first priority when we launched in 2003 was to establish a hardship fund which home improvement agencies can apply to on behalf of the most vulnerable homeowners who need urgent, small improvements or adaptations that are not covered by funding from other sources.
