Camden and Islington Care & Repair are delighted to have been awarded the new HIA Quality Mark. It is the first agency to be awarded the new Quality Mark in London and the South East.
The agency completed the core element of the new assessment, as well as the ‘handyperson' module - one of five optional modules.
The service is the only one in London to work across two boroughs and has recently started a handyperson service working for older people in both Camden and Islington. The parent organisation is in the process of rebranding, and the agency will be renamed Origin Care & Repair.
Amanda Clarke, Agency Manager, said: "The team found the whole process a positive experience as it made us look in depth at our working practices and procedures. It enables you to give your scheme an 'MOT' and highlights areas that you need to address. It was definitely a worthwhile experience for the team.
"It's also good to raise your profile to commissioners if you are undergoing tendering or looking for new funding which we are in Camden, and it was nice to say that we are the first HIA in London to have received this Quality Mark."
If you feel the new Quality Mark would be of benefit for your home improvement agency, please visit the Quality Mark pages of our website for more information or contact your regional consultant.
The whole process to achieve the Quality Mark will take two to three months so please make contact with us early on if you have a particular date you are working to.
