We are happy to announce that we now have an information and supoprt service in place for technical officers, in the shape of the Foundations Forum and new Technical Support pages on our website.
The new forum will only succeed if technical officers give the service their backing by logging on and using the service in a two-way relationship between themselves and their fellow officers in the HIA sector. We're trying to create a platform which will enable technical officers to share information and good practice around the sector, learn from each other's experiences and set their own agendas. We are hoping that the new forum will provide useful links for technical officers and allow conversations about 'real' issues and topics to be generated by the people who have the inside knowledge and are delivering a front-line service to vulnerable people on a daily basis.
But, this sharing of information does not stop with the forum. We would like to encourage technical officers to offer up ideas and topics to be included on our Technical Support web pages. Greenwich Council HIA are doing a great job of adding relevant topics, documents and links to various websites, but we would also like to encourage you to advise of any additional content you think should be included. Greenwich Council HIA will continue to develop and add to the Technical Support pages over the next few months, but please use the forum to let us and Greenwich know if you have any ideas or suggestions for content.
So, in short, log in to our forum, use it to start conversations with your peers and also to feedback to us your views and suggestions to ensure that our new service reflects your needs.
Without your support it cannot thrive!
