The Fit for Living group has been meeting up over the last 18 months, and brings together people from a range of sectors - home improvement agencies and Foundations, charities, registered social landlords, older peoples advocacy and local authorities - to deliver a series of reports aimed at influencing government strategies in the 4 main areas of advice and support, the role of housing providers, affordable loans, and ‘small input, big impact’ initiatives. All reports are aimed at addressing the needs of older people living in poor or unsuitable properties, and are due out in October 2011.
