Communities and Local Government has funded three Handyperson Co-ordinators to support the delivery of CLG-funded handyperson schemes and projects funded by the Safer Homes Fund. Part of their role will also be to gather and disseminate good practice in the delivery of handyperson schemes.
The Handyperson Co-ordinators can also offer support in facilitating networking with other service providers and commissioners, helping with training, and offering general advice and support to handyperson service providers and commissioners.They can also offer support in using the Handyperson Financial Benefits Tool and building a business case for handyperson services.
The co-ordinators are being hosted in three regions identified as priorities by the Home Office Safer Homes Fund: London, the North West and Yorkshire and Humberside.
