This module has been designed for those organisations who provide handyperson services and who are not home improvement agencies (HIAs).
It combines both the core and handyperson service modules of the National Home Improvement Agency Quality Mark 2009 and is intended as a separate stand-alone module. Validation by Foundations will enable an organisation to critically assess the depth and breadth of its services, and provides a platform for continuous business development.
Foundations are committed to driving up standards in the handyperson sector regardless of what organisation provides this service. As a business development tool it will also enable the handyperson provider to identify areas where they will find opportunities for growth and service improvement.
The first agency to undergo National Handyperson Quality Mark validation was Age Concern Luton. This is what their Operations Manager - Kwaku Adjei had to say about the process:
"The experience was overwhelmingly positive. Our staff were able to consider criticisms from an objective source and use these suggestions to enhance service delivery."
