This page contains information on Foundations' partnerships with npower and Warm Front, sources of funding, and links to useful information.

Warm Front

The Warm Front Scheme provides heating and insulation improvements to households on certain income-related benefits living in properties that are poorly insulated and/or do not have a working central heating system.

The previous portal arrangements that have existed between agencies and Warm Front scheme when it was managed by Eaga (Carillion Energy Services) came to an end in December 2010. All new referrals coming from HIAs to the Warm Front scheme now need to come through Foundations.

For more details and guidance please see documents links in the right hand column and contact Paul Gordziejewicz on pgordziejewicz@cel.co.uk or 07900 171312 before making your first referral.

npower Health Through Warmth

This is a hardship fund to help pay towards the cost of insulation and heating works where the person in receipt of payment has a cold-related illness and they cannot afford to fully fund measures themselves. This fund can include payment towards Warm Front top-ups.

For further information, go to the Health Through Warmth page of the Foundations website.

npower CERT referral process

For vulnerable householders in specific groups, who do not having cavity wall and/or loft insulation above 60mm (2.5 inches), insulation measures may be available at no cost.

The referral document can be found in the righthand resource list alongside a sample contract for the scheme. Complete the word document and email or alternatively download the pdf document and fax or post.
