Later this year, in September 2023, Foundations will be taking on the mighty Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge to raise funds for our charity, Foundations Independent Living Fund (FILT). The challenge entails conquering three peaks in the Yorkshire Dales, Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough, totalling 24 miles and over 5,000 feet in elevation – all in a single day!

FILT’s principle objective is to assist vulnerable people to live with dignity in their own homes and it provides immediate help for urgent, small home improvements for vulnerable disabled or older people, living in their own homes, when other funding streams are not available.

Our meaningful charity work has always been a core focus of what we do at Foundations and we look forward to reaching new heights as we collectively climb the peaks for FILT!

What the Challenge Means to Us

“United in purpose and ascending with determination, The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge embodies the essence of our organization. As a team-building event, we hope to reflect the very fabric of our culture and embrace one of our core values: ‘We trust each other and work together.”Emily Hunter, Foundations Business Support Manager

Completing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge reflects our team’s morale, aligning perfectly with Foundation’s overarching mission. As a company, we foster collaboration, resilience, and personal growth and chose this challenge specifically as we can collectively channel these values.

We look forward to coming together and testing our physical and mental limits while encouraging each other to push beyond boundaries and embrace a shared sense of achievement.
